La Raffinerie Spring Summer 2012 collection is here!
You can give a look at the new collection on our website. I already shipped some orders to Toronto and the new collection will be available in Montreal on Thursday March 8th!

The collection
For my 2012 Spring/Summer collection “Frida”, I draw my inspiration from the colors and the beautiful sceneries of South America. The famous artist-painter Frida Kahlo is the muse of this collection with vivid colors and a look both modern and exotic. For thiscollection, I refined my style and I used gemstones with deep blue, green turquoise and sparkling gray tones.

La Raffinerie’s signature is recognizable: necklaces that make a statement while being delicate and accessible to all styles…from the simple dress to a more eclectic outfit!

Sorry for being quiet, after the holidays I was really busy  finishing my Spring/Summer 2012 collection. I added the last touch! I’m really happy with this collection. I worked with gemstones and colors. Yesterday, we did the photoshoot for the campaign, and I can’t wait to show it to you! It’s beautiful! It’s the first time that La Raffinerie has a real campaign. There was a great team behind this: Jerry Pigeon (the photographer), Sophie Belahmer (the artistic director), Mélodie Wronski (the stylist), Laurie Deraps (the make-up/hair artist) and Ellie, a great model from Montage. Désolée pour le silence des derniers jours, après les vacances, j’ai été très occupée à finir ma collection Printemps/Été 2012. J’ai ajouté ma dernière touche! Je suis très contente avec le résultat. Pour cette collection, j’ai travaillé avec des pierres fines et beaucoup de couleur. Hier, nous avons fait le photoshoot de la collection. If you didn’t have a chance to come and pass by the Smart Design Mart, you still have one last chance! This weekend, La Raffinerie will be at the Souk@Sat, a local craft fair that is nothing but boring! The Souk@Sat is organizing its 8th edition. Some great local designers will be there with their latest creations. I was so happy to learn that La Raffinerie was going to take part at the Souk. I’ve been looking forward to that event and can’t wait to meet you! Yes, you…because you’re coming right?

Sorry for my absence, I’ve been busy travelling! I went to Toronto and Philadelphia with my little jewelry suitcase to find some new boutiques for La Raffinerie. I visited some beautiful boutiques in Toronto and was lucky to find 4 new sales point for my jewelry. Last week, the boutiques Tabula Rasa and Love of Mine received their new order. This week, I’m sending the orders to Coal of a Miner’s Daughter and Bicyclette.

In Philadelphia, I met with the Anthropologie’s accessories buyers. Their HQ is such a creative and inspiring place. Will post some pictures very soon.

I was very excited yesterday to learn that one my necklace was featured in the Anthropologie November catalog! This is my second collaboration with Anthropologie. I still find it hard to believe that i’m selling my jewelry at one of my favorite boutique. I did two other models for them that will be available on the web and in three of their boutiques. They will come out later this year.

I love their November catalog. It was shot in Peru. Very colorful and beautiful scenery. Reminds me of my first trip to Peru 8 years ago. Was 22 and decided to go travelling alone with my backpack. Good memories!

J’étais très excitée hier d’apprendre qu’un de mes colliers faisait partie du catalogue de novembre d’Anthropologie! C’est ma deuxième collaboration avec la chaine. J’ai encore de la difficulté à croire que je vends mes bijoux à une de mes boutiques favorites. J’ai conçu deux autres modèles pour eux. Ils seront disponibles sur le web et dans trois de leurs boutiques plus tard cette année!

J’adore leur catalogue de novembre. Quelques photos ont été prises au Pérou. C’est très coloré et les paysages sont magnifiques. Cela me rappelle mon premier voyage au Pérou, il y a plus de 8 ans. J’avais 22 ans et j’avais décidé d’aller voyager seule avec mon backpack. Que de bons souvenirs!

Since October 11th, Montreal’s sky is lit up like never before. Giants lights were installed at the new Quartier des spectacles. The art installation is the work of Rafael Lozano-Hemmer, a Montrealer of Mexican origin. Wherever you are in the city, you can see the lights in the sky. Quite entertaining!

My weekend in pictures!

While the North East was hit by a snowstorm, it was sunny in Montreal. Fall can be beautiful with all its colors. This weekend, I walked around the city and stop at my favorite bars for l’apéro. It’s also getting colder everyday. And when it’s cold, I just love to eat. My favorite: la raclette. Cheese and more cheese please!
