Every morning, I walked by a nice little bakery shop that opened a few months a go in Montreal. La boulangerie Guillaume has the best pain au chocolat that you can find in Montreal. Their food is not only good, the place is really nice. It has a modern look that few bakery have adopted.

If you live in Montreal or passing by the city, it’s a must stop!

{Lantern X Tiki}

This weekend, I wanted to do something different. When it’s gray and rainy, it’s difficult to find something to do…
So my boyfriend and I end up going to see the Chinese Lanterns at the Botanical Garden in Montreal. Was very nice, I love lanterns.

Afterward, we stayed in the same theme and we went to have dinner at a very kitsch restaurant called Le Jardin Tiki. You don’t go there for the food but more for the place! The ceiling is filled with vintage lanterns.

It’s gray and rainy in Montreal… While I was walking around town, I couldn’t help but notice all the small glimpses of colors here and there. Here are a few pictures!

C’est gris et pluvieux à Montréal… Pendant que je marchais en ville, je n’ai pas pu résister de prendre quelques clichés de couleurs. En voici quelques unes!

And as you can see the pic below wasn’t taken in Montreal, but I just love the ceiling. What a great idea!

Art Deco is s an eclectic artistic and design style that began in Paris in the 1920s. The structure of Art Deco is based on mathematical geometric shapes.

This Fall, Anthropologie has an “Art deco” jewellery collection. I love the delicate earrings and necklaces. Here are some images from that beautiful era.

I just started a new collection of vintage writing machine. There are not easy to find…it make them even more exciting to collect. Here are my two writing machine that I have! At first, I found the turquoise one. It’s when I found the yellow writing machine that I decided to start a little collection. Will soon hit the road to try to find other ones. There are some beautiful ones online, but the shipping costs are way to expensive. Did you know that the first writing machine was invented in 1714!

Je viens tout juste de commencer une collection de machines à écrire. Elles ne sont pas faciles à trouver…ce qui rend la collection encore plus intéressante. Voici les deux machines que j’ai. La turquoise est la première que j’ai trouvé. C’est lorsque j’ai trouvé la jaune que j’ai décidé de commencer une petite collection. Je viens bientôt partir à la recherche de d’autres machines. On en trouve des superbes sur le web, mais les frais de livraison sont beaucoup trop chers. Saviez-vous que la première machine a été inventée en 1714!

This weekend, I went on a vintage shopping spree and found some great vintage items! An art deco lamp, a colorful typewriter and many kitchen items. A few hours after all that spending, I found this post on vintage interior design ads. Amazing how things go back to fashion. The 70s are definitively back in fashion.

What do you think of the 70s ? I love it !

Ce week-end, j’ai fait une tournée des boutiques vintage et j’ai trouvé une panoplie de jolis items. Une lampe art déco, une machine à écrire colorée et beaucoup d’accessoires de cuisine. Quelques heures après tout ce magasinage, je suis tombée sur ce billet discutant des publicités de décoration intérieure des années 70. C’est fou comme tout revient à la mode. Les années 70 sont définitivement de retour.

Que pensez-vous des années 70 ? J’adore !
