{Fall + Food}

My weekend in pictures!

While the North East was hit by a snowstorm, it was sunny in Montreal. Fall can be beautiful with all its colors. This weekend, I walked around the city and stop at my favorite bars for l’apéro. It’s also getting colder everyday. And when it’s cold, I just love to eat. My favorite: la raclette. Cheese and more cheese please!

{Pain au chocolat}

Every morning, I walked by a nice little bakery shop that opened a few months a go in Montreal. La boulangerie Guillaume has the best pain au chocolat that you can find in Montreal. Their food is not only good, the place is really nice. It has a modern look that few bakery have adopted.

If you live in Montreal or passing by the city, it’s a must stop!

Boulangerie Guillaume

La boulangerie Guillaume also serves great veggie sandwiches!

{Sneak peek into my home}

A few weeks ago, a popular website asked me to send them pictures of my home to (maybe) showcase on their site. I doubt that I’ll be chosen because the homes featured are spectacular. I’m quite happy with my place, but since I still rent and thought of moving soon, I didn’t update the deco for a while. Everything in my home has been found (or made) in Montreal. I love that everything has a little story. Since I cleaned up all day to take the pictures, I thought I shared them with you:)

Here’s a sneak peek of my place located in the beautiful Mile-End on Hutchison Street!

I bought this amazing vintage turquoise sofa from a 80 years old lady that kept it in a such a great condition. Was a real bargain!

My corner to read the newspaper and have breakfast.

This Russian big plate is my most precious vintage finding. It’s written made in USSR in the back!
Second living room. Teak heritage from our families.
Some 1960s tiles.
 When we moved we didn’t know what to do with the dining room. We had all that space but no big table. We decided to make one!
This is the stereo of my grandmother. I found it in her basement with a pile of boxes on top of it! The radio still work!
Our very “urban” backyard. It’s a great place to have bbq and chill out at night.
We “found” that street sign in the street!

Orange Julep

Today, I passed by Orange Julep in Montréal and decided to stop by to give a look. I had never been! I was always intrigued by its funny architecture.  Kind of hard to miss:) I love it. Very good hot dog. Of course, Orange Julep is known for it’s excellent orange juice. Not disappointed. This little trip gave me an idea. In the next months, I’ll pay a visit to vintage places in Montreal. I created a new section called “vintage Montreal”. Any ideas for places?
